Tomljanovic vs Rybakina: prediction for the WTA Wimbledon match

Ajla Tomljanovic reached the quarterfinals of Wimbledon for the second consecutive year. It is a great achievement for the World No. 44 player. In 2022, she was stopped by Ashleigh Barty at that stage (1:6, 3:6). 

This time, Ajla got off to a brilliant start, beating Teichmann (6:3, 6:2) and Harrison (6:2, 6:2) in two first rounds. In the third match she had a real challenge - a match against Barbora Krejcikova. Australian player eventually took the victory (2:6, 6:4, 6:3). Tomljanovic secured another comeback victory over Cornet in the round of 16 (4:6, 6:4, 6:3). 

Elena Rybakina managed to improve her result in London. In 2021, she only managed to reach the round of 16 and suffered a defeat to Aryna Sabalenka (3:6, 6:4, 3:6). 

This time, Rybakina managed to reach the quarter-final without losing a single set. However, her victories were not so convincing. In three of four matches she had to play tiebreaks. In the round of 16 Elena just narrowly beat Petra Martic (7:5, 6:3). Kazakhstani player lost only two games at her serve in that match.
