San Jose vs Vegas: prediction for the NHL preseason match
San Jose Sharks
The San Jose Sharks are very inconsistent in the preseason. The Sharks perform much worse at the home court, where they were defeated by Los Angeles (3:4) and Anaheim (2:3 B). Goaltender Reimer had a horrible game against the Kings and had to be replaced in the third period after conceding three goals.
However, the Sharks look decent away. They played two really good games against the Ducks (3:1) and Vegas (4: 2).
Vegas Golden Knights
The Vegas Golden Knights didn't live up to the fans' expectations in the preseason. The Golden Knights won only three out of six games. First, they defeated Colorado (4:3) and Los Angeles (4:0). Defenceman Miromanov scored a double against Los Angeles.
The Knights won a landslide victory in the return game against Colorado with a score of 7:4. Krebs had a wonderful game; he scored a goal and gave three assists. After that, Vegas lost again to Arizona at home (1:3).
In 5 head-to-head games in a row, the teams scored more than one goal in the second period.
San Jose scored first in 3 head-to-head games out of 4.
San Jose have shown poor play at home in the previous games. If we count last season, the Sharks are on a home losing streak of five games. Vegas have a great chance to win here.
Our prediction - Vegas to win
The teams scored more than 5 goals in four head-to-head games out of five. We suggest playing the total over.
Second wager - total over 5.5 goals
